Day 4 News...

Hello from Bockleton! Our final full day has been packed full of excitement with rock climbing, obstacle courses and environmental art (photos coming soon). We had a healthy breakfast, a packed lunch with wraps and lasagne (or vegetarian pasties) with vegetables and salad.

We also got VERY muddy pretending to be beavers and doing the dam building activity in the stream near to Bockleton. We think some clothes may have to be binned on return as some 'beavers' built their dams very enthusiastically and then sat in the ponds that they had created! Sorry mums/dads/nans! It was, however an excellent excuse to make sure EVERYONE showered again today and provided an easy way to check whether they had, during a quick post shower 'mud check' :-).

For our final free time there was a mini-disco and a choice of football, adventure playground, the library, pool and table football. Most of the Chad Vale group came to have a dance to the classics...YMCA, Cha Cha Slide, the macarena and many more! Mr. Cham, who was due to pay us a visit, would have been doing his range of 'air instruments' but unfortunately work came before dancing and he sent his excuses. Miss Nolan, however, who arrived this morning and is staying overnight did enjoy a little 'boogie'.

We had a lovely supper of home-made flapjack and milkshake/squash and all the rooms were fast asleep by 10.05pm! Tomorrow is our final day and the children are looking forward to coming home- prepare your washing machines and a good hot bath...they will need them!

See you tomorrow...

Day 3 Slideshow (over 200 photos!)

Wednesday 7 July 2010

Hello All!

Hello everyone! It is Miss Grosvenor here. We are having a fantastic time here at Bockleton. Today we have been horse riding which was great fun. Then we had some woodland games where we made birds nests and played hide and seek in the woods. The falconary show was amazing but was a little bit scary!

This evening we had a disco and a dance competition with the other school here. Hopefully we will continue the dancing tomorrow. Some children were able to watch the spain v's Germany match and I think everyone was happy with the result.

Tomorrow we are going rock climbing which looks exciting but I dont know if I will be able to climb all the way to the top (I will try my very best!) We are also going to be making dams but Ill update you on that tomorrow.

Hope you are all ok at Chad Vale, we are all missing you and will see you on Friday.
Goodbye love from Miss Grosvenor x
